Video Mystery Shopping:
Through the use of micro audio/video equipment, Shadow Shopper
is able to provide its clients with
a VHS video of a shopper’s experience in one of the
client’s locations. A trained shopper will enter a
client's place of business while wearing a micro camera
unit. The camera unit may be concealed in purse, tie,
pager, apparel or elsewhere depending on the nature of
the business. While in the client’s location, the shopper
will pose as a potential buyer or user of the product
or service offered at the location. Following a consumer
profile provided by the client, the shopper will engage
personnel, in conversation, inquiring about the products
or services offered. A client may request that our shopper
pan the showroom or customer service desk allowing a review
of those areas or any other areas of concern.
The client has many options when using a Sales Review Video.
All levels of management can use videos to gain insight specific
to their areas of responsibility. Sales Training Managers are
able to review the tapes of their employees behavior and can
either reinforce positive actions or correct inappropriate
actions. The sales professional is able to see him/her self
from the customers perspective and may come to realize that
they may be saying one thing with their mouths and something
completely different with their body language.
Many clients use The Shadow Shopper program to motivate their
sales personnel to perform at a higher level. The client
may inform their personnel that they are using this service
to recognize and reward those individuals that are following
company procedures or offering exceptional customer service.
A target product is often used to measure the effectiveness
of the program and serve as a means of creating revenue due
to increased sales of this product. Proper promotion and
management support, will make The Shadow Shopper program a
profit generator rather than a Human Resource expense.
